Not surprisingly Royal Concorde has proven to be a successful sire, he has an elegant head with great substance and blood through his body, he hails from possibly Ireland’s greatest damline the ‘Carrighbrahan damline’ which has been managed and nutured by Waterford breeders Dermot and Carmel Ryan for many years now and from which a host of international performers have been produced.

Both Royal Concorde’s parents competed at 1.50 + level in showjumping, his dam Trump Carder  (KING OF DIAMONDS) competed at Grand Prix level with Jack Doyle at only the age of 7 years, his Sire the great Concorde ( VOLTAIRE ) also competed for many years at top international level and also hails from a strong competition family.

Trump Carder is out of a mare called Carrighbrahan Peggy who produced a total of ten progeny out of which 5 competed at grand prix level and three at international Grand Prix level (Kingsmeadow, Kings Farewell and Vagabond King). Trump Carder herself has excelled as a broodmare breeding not only Royal Concorde, but also Dutch Treat who in 1992 won the seven-year-old championship at the RDS under Jack Doyle. He also qualified for the World Championships in Lanaken that year and became the first owned-and-bred Irish stallion to be approved in the Studbook Zangersheide. Trump Carder also bred the mare ‘Irma’ who went on to breed The super international Stallion Carmena Z. Trump Carders full sister The Queen of Trumps was also an equally impressive broodmare who went to breed our Stallion CLOVER FLUSH  who when sold to Australia, become five-time showjumping champion of Australia and was the reserve for the Sydney Olympics at just nine years old. There are many other stars in this family such as the exciting Chatterbox Z,  Compelling Z, Cherbuini Z and the list grows every year.

Concorde,  Royal Concorde’s sire, is well known for passing on not only technique, but soundness and a great turn of foot. Concorde’s own dam ‘Flyer’ was a full sister to the showjumper ‘Vivaldi’ who was American speed horse of the year and thought to be one of the best speed horses ever, he clearly passed on this gene to Royal Concorde as can be seen from his record breaking Derby rounds.

Royal Concorde’s first crop since he retired from international showjumping turn 5 years in 2016 and if his first crops are anything to go by there should be exciting times ahead for this stallion, he suits a wide variety of mares as he breeds progeny with plenty blood and a super temperment. He has proven he is capable of breeding both top Showjumpers and Eventers, horses that are ridable and competitive.

Royal Concorde carries over 45% thoroughbred blood through his pedigree and this throughbred  influence is very evident in his progeny

Royal Concorde will available in Ireland via chilled or fresh semen and available in the U.K and throughout Europe via frozen
