Master Blue sadly passed away as only an 8 year old in 2016, we hope he has left a lasting legacy through his progeny, whom are are proving themselves as talented, rideable, good tempered horses that are highly saleable and sought after by producers and dealers and private individuals

Mr Blue was an extremely talented show jumper in his own right for Holland with many Nations cups and Grand prix wins under Bert Romp including second in the Helsinki world cup final and the European championships. He was then sold to The United States where he continued to win with Elise Hass and Katie Monaghan Prudent including the nations cup in Rome in 2002 and the Amsterdam Grand prix in 1999.
It was when he was purchased in 2003 by Legendary French breeder Arnaud Evian to stand at stud that Mr Blues place in showjumping history was secured. Since that move to France he has been responsible for an endless list of International showjumpers including 2010 world cup winner Plot Blue (out of a Pilot mare) who carried Marcus Ehning to victory in the 2010 World Cup final in Geneva other Grand Prix competitors include: Casper van Spieveld (Capital) and Jos Lansink, Okometa (Wolfgang) with Jurgen Stenfert, Maikel van der Vleuton’s twosome, VDL Groep Parmala Douche (Voltaire), winners of the Grand Prix of Amsterdam, and VDL Groep Sapphire B (Grand Veneur), 2011 world number 1 horse BCM Van Grunsven Simon (Polydox) and Jeroen Dubbeldam, winners of the Calgary Grand Prix and 3rd at the 2011 World Cup final and now competing successfully with Beezie Madden, Blue Curacao (Dark d’Amour) with Marilyn Little-Meredith and VDL Groep Santana B (Almé) the winner of the Grand Prix of Gelderland with Leopold van Asten.
Arnaud Evian has said that the quality which has made the Mr Blue progeny so successful is “ brain, brain, brain” and
“To perform today you need scope – not as much as 30 years ago – you need careful horses with blood, and clean and blood generally makes horses a bit spooky, so now we have to combine carefully, blood with temperament, for the showjumping, and that was Mr Blue’s number one quality. That is why you see so many Mr Blues in good quality, international competition… that is why you see so many amateurs riding Mr Blues… you see many people moving up in their international career, thanks to a Mr Blue horse.”
